How big is the current swordbattle "community"

I haven’t played swordbattle for months but I know the game has basically gotten a culture of being more like a chatroom than an actual game, I’m just curious how many people actually use sb for chatting and stuff and if they’d use this forum instead

(I’m still unsure if I’ll actually make this a forum for sb just cause the game doesn’t seem to really need it or benefit off of a forum right now)

Also I hate to be mr big evil metrics guy but if I just keep all the chats in swordbattle then that’ll still give the game a guaranteed playerbase

If they join, they are going to use this forum as a chatroom, just like the rest of the New Gens.

What is this forum even supposed to be if nobodys gonna make topics

Where people make relevant topics, not just lounge in the general chat, spamming memes, ranting about their lives that no one cares about, and posting inappropriate content.

to be fair my best times was just playing around in general chat while roleplaying and doing other stuff like future careers XD

I use it to talk mostly but some people like pooky don’t want to use the forum because of people like bob :sob:

On forum it’s fairly non-existent, probably because it isn’t linked in the game like it used to.

The place is a ghost town :face_holding_back_tears:

Sadly, I’d have to admit that it’s merely a shadow of it’s former self. Maybe it’s because this forum hasn’t had a ‘Swordbattle’ identity for almost 3 years at this point, but almost no post I see on the forum now has anything to do with SB.

Although there is a lot of chatting on SB, there’s still a really good amount of people who grind and fight others. Leaderboards are still pretty active, and the only suggestion I have for that is v2 XP should be worth more than v1 like it was originally. It made progress up the leaderboard a lot faster, and accounts that haven’t been on in 3+ years shouldn’t be as high as they are right now.

As for chatting, I feel experimenting may help. Chatting right now is kinda basic, which is good, but it could be better? I don’t have any ideas on how you’d do that, but I believe in yall ong

None of this besides the innapropriate content sounds bad for the community

A small community like the worldguessr and swordbattle communities thrive because of connection to other members and how do you create a tight knit strong community? By messing around and having fun :) i know it might be difficult to understand from your realmz background but even the so called “ useless “ topics serve an important role to the community

as far as i see its mostly just the same group of people who spend time chatting on sb
most of whom just cause trouble :wilted_flower:

so if they were to join forum now itd prob be only like 5 more people prob

game needs to be bigger before we start using forum again

The community is small nowadays, most of the members haven’t played it in a bit like me or are active in the Discord, which I assume you’ve already seen for a long while

That’s also true. The drama happens in the discord server mostly
